Clinical applications and optimization of patient-derived organoids in intestinal diseases

چکیده

Since the first successful establishment of organoids from adult intestinal stem cells, organoid technology has rapidly developed. With advances in normal technology, disorders, such as colorectal tumors and inflammatory bowel disease, have been major target diseases for patient-derived (PDO) development. PDO biobanking cancer subsequently developed, some reports shown possibility using models to predict anticancer drug responses. However, apply these real-world practice, we need more long-term clinical follow-up data further large-scale biobanks, well advanced rapid efficient establishment. In addition, field regenerative medicine, implantation healthy PDOs refractory tissue defects could be a new treatment strategy accelerate healing repair mucosal defects. This also applied serve very useful model development via high-throughput screening candidate drugs.
